Musical Monday # 92

Musical Monday

I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site.

I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.

I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist.

Today’s clip is:The Beach Boys

Kokomo
and don't we all wish we could go there?

Comments

  1. A gentle introduction to the day. Too many people in the clip to feel I had 'got away from it all' though.

  2. I've never seen the clip before, thanks. Plenty of bare flesh, as you would expect.

  3. No fat old women there! But still, it would be a delightful getaway.

  4. If Tom Cruise wasn’t there I might go. I can’t stand him and never watch his movies these days. He turns me right off. “Cocktail” is probably the second last movie of his I’ve seen (the music from it was good, though)...and that was back in the late 80s. “Eyes Wide Shut” is the last Cruise movie I've watched..and that was a long time ago.

I love the song, though. So I might grab my LP,cassette and beach towel and go to Noosa instead! :)

  5. I always enjoyed the Beach Boys but that is one song I'd not heard before. Quite enjoyable but not sure I'd enjoy going 'there'. Just too many people for me and I'm not a beach person. Would still love to get away though. 14 years since we had a holiday.

  8. Elephant's Child; I'd prefer fewer people too. Far fewer.

Andrew; it's the place for bikinis, that's for sure.

Susan Kane; probably the fat old women weren't allowed in front of the cameras.

Lee; I'm not a fan of Tom Cruise either, but I don't mind this movie and the Jack Reacher one is good too.

Mimsie; "there" was a movie set, the song is in the movie "Cocktail", I tried to find a different clip that didn't feature the movie, but they weren't as good.

Margaret-whiteangel; I like a lot of the Beach Boys songs, this one is easy to listen to, calming.

Merle; from the 80s I think.
