Wednesday's Words on a Friday

The original Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and eventually taken over by a moveable feast of participants when Delores had computer troubles. The aim of the words is to encourage us to write, a story, a poem, whatever comes to mind. If you are posting an entry on your own blog, please let us know so we can come along and read it. This month the words are supplied by Elephant's Child and can be found here . This week's words are: 1. angel 2. lullaby 3. condition 4. sad 5. melt 6. crocodile and/or: 1. formula 2. honeydew 3. bumble 4. sticky 5. hoax 6. felon Here is my story: Sarah Carmichael sat beside the hospital bed, wringing her handkerchief, tears dripping from sad eyes, landing silently on her crocodile skin handbag. It was a while before she was able to speak, her voice low and slow.  "When I got the phone call saying you had been found, I thought it was a hoax at first. Musical Monday # 132

Image
Musical Monday I was introduced to Musical Monday by Delores who copied the meme from another site. I think it’s a fun way to show off some of the music we like and brighten up our Mondays at the same time.  I’ll be finding my clips on you tube, so will simply credit that site since there are often so many versions of everything and I wouldn’t want to accidentally credit the wrong artist. Today’s clip is: Nat King Cole Ramblin' Rose from way back in 1962 when I was ten. Or 9 depending on which end of the year we're talking about. This is the final Musical Monday for this year, I hope you've enjoyed my selections. You have probably noticed I didn't do any Christmas music this month, that's because I couldn't decide which songs to use.

He left her tent shaking his head with bemusement, almost tripping when his foot caught on a tree root in the dusk. He veered away from the woods at the edge of the tents, deciding to stop at the home- bake stall and

Today’s clip is: Cher The Shoop Shoop Song (It's in his kiss) from the movie Mermaids , starring Cher, Winona Ryder, Christina Ricci and Bob Hoskins.  I don't think anyone needs the lyrics , but here they are, just in case there is one person in the world who doesn't know them: I hope you all like this one.
